Who is Madison? I started Lancaster Liaison during the peak COVID shutdown, when I was bored with my face buried in my phone. I was stuck looking at pictures of fun things I did pre-shutdown. I thought, Why not put them in a central place, that way others could see them, too? I grew up in Southern Lancaster on a farm. So it was always such a fun time exploring new cafes and restaurants in the city, while being appreciative of the fresh produce of other local farms. Since then, I have renovated a house on the East Side of Lancaster City with my dad! I enjoy design, thrifting, and shopping, so it was a great experience making the place my own.

What can you expect if you follow Madison? I love to capture food and drinks in Lancaster. However, it's sometimes hard for me to remember to let the "phone eat first" and snap a photo. I also enjoy showcasing local boutiques and recreational outdoor activities!

What’s the most exciting opportunity Madison has had thanks to social media? I kept my identity hidden on the account, but I would say most of my friends knew it was me at the helm. However, recently some other friends and acquaintances have put it together that I run the account. It has been entertaining to see their reactions. And, I’ve figured out that social media and blogging performs better with a personal touch or face behind it, and I am ready to incorporate that more in the future!

What is Madison’s favorite place in Lancaster? My ideal day in Lancaster would start with some sort of exercise. I really love the rail trail system and Treadhouse. I would refuel with a coffee from Central Market and an oatmeal muffin from Zig's Bakery. Then, I would hit Lancaster Restore or CommunityAid and find a thrift gem. That would be followed by a burger from Horse Inn and dessert at Quips. #JustEastsideThings
