WHAT MAKES BEN AN INNOVATOR?
Ben comes from a family of small business owners, and has an extensive artistic background. He now focuses on painting and full-time furniture building. Ben spent his college experience in art school and another five years at a metal foundry, immersing himself in welding, metal casting and fabrication, and patina. His creations now feature wooden and metal aspects, combining warm, smooth woods with sleek, industrial lines. His portrait paintings follow a gorgeous contrasted grayscale, with heavy blacks and bright whites, smooth graphite-like lines, and elegant poses. Ben’s pieces stand out because he is equally proficient in both metalworking and woodworking.
WHAT DOES BEN’S FUTURE LOOK LIKE?
Ben is at an exciting point in his business. After spending several years splitting his business between two workshops, he is finally moving to one location in Conestoga. He desires to learn more skills, including forging wrought iron. Eventually, Ben dreams of opening up his own showroom and art gallery, making DeLuca Creations a longlasting part of Lancaster’s downtown scene.
