Things are heating up at Jen’s Pottery Den. More specifically, kilns are warming up as the paint-your-own-pottery studio prepares to expand and include a  clay studio next door to its current location, 711 Olde Hickory Road.

The new clay studio, Jen’s Clay Den, will occupy 713 Olde Hickory Road.  An open house will take place from 10 AM- 5PM on Saturday April 2, 2016 and noon- 5 PM on Sunday April 3, 2016. During this time, wheel throwing demonstrations will take place and a display featuring sample projects can be viewed. A special $5.00 clay hand building project will be available for customers to complete. The clay studio will open to the public on April 4, 2016. Come out to help us celebrate Jen’s Clay Den where it’s ALL CLAY, ALL DAY!

Jen’s Clay Den will feature four pottery wheels, a slab roller, and a large worktable. The new space will operate by appointment and during scheduled class times. Wheel throwing classes, hand building classes, open wheel time and summer Kids-N-Clay Camps will be offered.

Owner, Jen Switch said that the new space “is created to fill a need in the community,” with a space dedicated to the clay medium. “More people are looking for an affordable entertainment experience,” Switch stated. “The clay studio will allow us to accommodate a growing number of requests and create additional classes to better serve the community.”

Jen’s Pottery Den currently offers paint-your-own pottery, canvas painting, glass fusing, glass painting, clay classes, and mosaics to its customers in Lancaster County and beyond.
