Madison Pontz to Speak on Panel at Millersville University


On Thursday, October 6, Madison Pontz (FLL Issue 39’s Managing Editor) will be speaking on a panel called “Why Women Run From Office and How That Can Change” at Millersville University. Debuting at 7:00 p.m. in the Lehr Dining Room at the Bolger Conference Center.


Dr. Danny Hayes will be the keynote speaker (Associate Professor of Political Science at George Washington University and Fellow at the Women & Politics Institute at American University), followed by a talkback panel response by members of the local community led by Fran Rodriguez, President of the League of Women Voters of Lancaster County.

Madison Pontz is currently a senior at George Washington University, majoring in political communication and women’s studies. She will be representing the millennial perspective regarding women in politics.

Emily Truman, a Millersville graduate with a degree in Psychology, has edited nursing textbooks for almost 5 years. She has been editing for FLL since the working stages of Issue 32. Aside from editing work, Emily also makes pies with unique fillings and flavor combinations, as well as repurposed clothing and jewelry. She loves spending quality time with friends, her family, and her bulldog Ozzy.
