BMW X3 — Tall Dynamite
The latest iteration of the BMW X3 Sport Activity Vehicle is another winner from the house of the “ultimate driving machine.” The complete redesign highlights what made this automobile an immense success when it first launched, and adds even more innovation now.
Performance is what is expected of a BMW, regardless of model—this has it in spades. Handing is both simple and precise and acceleration both from an standing start and at speed on the highway is prompt and satisfying. Surely, this new X3 will leave no one wanting in the power department.
New and improved interior features supportive and comfortable seating (I’m partial to the sport seats) and holds you nicely in place during spirited gallops on twisty back roads. The BMW navigation, already one of the best available in the industry, is now even more responsive and especially great with voice requests—hit the “talk” button and say “directions to BWI” for example, and the system knows exactly what you want and gets your directions squared away in seconds. The substantial and large information screen is as aesthetically flawless as it is functionally.
The best part about the X3, in my opinion, has always been the true sport sedan performance, in a tall driving position. With more and more large vehicles on the road now, the higher driving position, with no sacrifice in performance is the gift that keeps on giving, everytime you hit the road.
Stop by BMW of Lancaster and take a spin in a new X3. My bet is that you’ll take it all the way home.
