Season favorite Marieann Meringolo returns to the Ware Center after a sold out show in 2013. The concert, “The Shape of My Heart,” will take place in the Ware Center’s third floor Atrium on Friday, April 29 at 7:30 PM. All tickets include complimentary beverage service which begins at 7 PM. The Ware Center is located at 42 N. Prince Street.
Marieann Meringolo will take the audience on a journey into the fragile, vulnerable, guarded, spirited, trusting and exquisite matters of the heart, covering an eclectic mix of music from Cole Porter to Sara Bareilles, Michel Legrand, Alan and Marilyn Bergman, Sting and more. This show will explore the far reaches of our hearts’ profound pursuits on a road that is both rugged and divine.
ABOUT MARIEANN MERINGOLO
Marieann Meringolo is a native New Yorker who has been called “One of the circuit’s most powerful singers” by Time Out New York. She is a MAC Award-Winning vocalist as well as a Back Stage Bistro Award-Winning vocalist who has the natural ability to find new and inspiring ways to transform standards and make them truly her own, while at the same time mastering original songs as though they were classics.
Meringolo has performed at several New York City venues: Feinstein’s at Loews Regency, Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater, Iridium, Metropolitan Room, The Friars Club, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, The Rainbow Room, The Hammerstein Ballroom and Tavern on the Green. She has toured with comedian DavidBrenner and can also be heard performing on concert stages around the country, and as a headliner touring internationally on cruise lines such as Oceania and Regent Seven Seas. Meringolo is broadcast on select United Airlines flights and the Vice President’s airplane – Air Force II. She has also had the honor of performing live at the United Nations.
Meringolo was the recipient of the King Features EVVY Award for Best National Cabaret Act, a Back Stage Bistro Award for Outstanding Vocalist, the New York Native Award for Best Solo Performance, a nomination for the GLAMA Award for Debut Artist, and is a Back Stage Bistro and MAC Award-Winner for Outstanding CD & Recording of the Year.
