Martin’s Chair, Inc., a premier designer of heirloom-quality Windsor Chairs and 18th century reproduction furniture, released the Diversity Cupboard, a highly-customizable, solid-wood hutch/cupboard that can assimilate into a wide range of design genres and room settings. The Diversity Cupboard, designed by founder John Martin, is hand-crafted and finished entirely in the United States.

Changes to wood selection, finish, molding, shelving, and door options, allow homeowners to integrate the Diversity Cupboard into a range of styles from classic 18th century to rustic (using a unique blasted surface finish) to Shaker to modern. The Diversity Cupboard is a highly functional piece that can serve as a hutch, entertainment center, desk, kitchen cupboard, bedroom dresser, and more.

The Diversity Cupboard’s foundational dimensions are: Upper cabinet 40”w x 15”d x 38”h; Lower cabinet 40”w x 18”d x 38”h. Custom sizing is available in addition to the ability to modify the number of doors, add decorative glass doors, modify the number of drawers and shelves.

Customers can also add flip-down desktops and storage compartments for home office use or special inserts for entertainment centers (to allow for wiring and hook ups for televisions and computers). Customers can choose from cherry, walnut, tiger maple, maple, and poplar solid woods. Finishes include classic stained, rustic (blasted), and painted.

“The Diversity Cupboard was designed as a utilitarian piece that can flow from a classic 18th century setting to rustic and all styles in between,” said John Martin, Founder. “It is the embodiment of Martin’s desire to provide homeowners with heirloom-quality furniture that meets the family’s needs – today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.  The foundational design for the Diversity Cupboard (cherry with standard hardware and dimensions) begins at $4,995.00. Pricing varies by customization. The Diversity Cupboard is the newest addition to Martin’s showroom, located at 124 King Court, New Holland, PA 17557. Customers can work with craftsmen at the showroom to customize their Diversity Cupboard and accessorize home interiors.
