Licensed professional counselor Alison Pidgeon always knew she was meant to help people. At her new private practice, Move Forward Counseling, Alison offers highly personalized care in a relaxing, beautiful environment.
Alison’s clinical style uses cognitive behavioral methods, by listening to her clients’ thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and figuring out how they are connected. She strives to teach her clients the skills necessary in order to make progress towards personal goals. Utilizing contemporary tools, Alison is now able to connect via online video for therapy sessions with someone who travels for work or even a student in college. She is always looking for new ways to help her clients outside of traditional methods.
Alison is a mother of two toddlers, and loves to cook and bake in her free time. “I can’t fix the world’s problems, but I can try to make my own corner of the world better,” she says. Alison loves her job and is excited to see her business grow, hopefully adding more therapists on duty and more cutting-edge technology to help her clients find relief from their mental health issues.
