Music is a big part of downtown Lancaster. It fills the streets on First and Third Fridays, and there are countless bands, venues, and stores that help to build Lancaster’s music scene. If it’s true that the physical distribution of music is a dying art form, then apparently Mr. Suit records on West Chestnut Street hasn’t gotten the memo.
The store is small but it’s filled with personality; colored and picture vinyl records hang from the walls and shelves of Mr. Suit, just as much pieces of visual art as the concert posters that fill spaces between them.
Mr. Suit carries everything from local to national acts, vinyl records, CDs and tapes, and has the best collection of used records that the city has to offer. Whether you’re looking for a new record from the latest buzz band or a compilation of Hall & Oates’ “Greatest Hits,” odds are Mr. Suit will have something to offer any avid music fan.
