If you’re reading this, you’re probably warm. Whether it’s walking down the street, smart phone in hand, and bundled up in your fluffy coat and scarf, or sitting on a cozy sofa at home with a cup of coffee, you’re warm. How lucky and blessed we are to be… warm.
For the month of December, My People Our City (run by Thaddeus Ramirez of TNNT Contracting) set up donation boxes throughout Lancaster for new and gently used coats, hats, gloves, and scarves to be donated. Thirty of the women’s and children’s coats will be distributed to the emergency shelter, and the rest will be distributed to the Homeless Student Project, organized by the School District of Lancaster.
Who’s Next Barbershop, Jas It Up Hair Studio, Uni-Vision Childcare, and The Candy Factory were all donation spots. Fine Living Lancaster magazine witnessed themselves the massive pile of coats and warm weather accessories during a meeting this morning.
Thank you, Lancaster, for always caring.
