The Ware Center for Visual and Performing Arts at Millersville University has opened registration for its continuing education program, Millersville Lifelong Learning Institute (MiLLI). The series (previously called Adult Learning), starts the week of September 13th and includes 18 classes offered during daytime hours at The Ware Center, 42. N. Prince Street, Lancaster, PA.

CLASS OFFERINGS

The Lifelong Learning Series is designed to provide enriching experiences for continued education at the Ware Center in downtown Lancaster. These non-credit courses provide an opportunity for community members to gain new knowledge and skills in a casual environment with supportive instructors who are experts in their fields.

Classes include: Geneology & Your DNA; Digital Photography; Mixing It Up: Collage & the Altered Book; Nature Journaling; Nature’s Mindful Healing; Becoming Vegan in 30 Days; Beginner Chess Instruction; Drug Abuse & the Heroin Epidemic; Climbing the Wellness Ladder; Astronomy; Myth of the Lost Cause: False Remembrance of the Civil War; Creative Writing Is for Everyone; Dreamcatcher; Introduction to Tai Chi, Qi Gong & More; Spanish for Beginners 1 and 2; Qi Gong; and Introduction to Sailing. Courses are offered one day a week for a period of between 2 and 8 weeks with classes varying in length from 90 minutes to 2 hours, at prices ranging from $60 – $120 per course.

Additionally, a free hour-long seminar, “Stop Saving For Retirement” will be offered by Rick Rodgers CFP and President of Rodgers & Associates on Monday, September 26 at 6:00 pm.   Feedback from the program has been “overwhelmingly positive,” with past participants praising the quality of instruction and instructors, an appreciation for the diverse course offerings, and the positive learning environment offered by the Ware Center.
