Project Furever Home: Help Our Vision Grow

At 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue, our mission is to provide homeless and abandoned dogs with a second chance and a brighter future.

We are an all-foster/volunteer organization. Our fosters—scattered across five counties—open up their hearts and their homes to give these animals a second chance until they can find their forever family.  That means we currently have no brick and mortar location.  Having a permanent facility where volunteers and fosters can meet would be amazing.

That’s why everyone at 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is excited to announce the kickoff of our capital campaign: Project Furever Home. Our goal is to raise $500,000 for a permanent facility with multiple play yards and a building for healing, grooming, boarding, and short-term housing.

Much of our focus is on ailing, senior, and abandoned dogs that will never find a forever home but need us as their forever family and safe refuge. When medical treatment becomes too expensive or care too intensive, when they become a burden, thousands of dogs are turned out of their homes and abandoned to high-kill shelters where they face imminent death. It is these animals who need our help, who need a Furever Home, a safe place where they won’t go hungry or neglected. No more changes, no more surprises. They need a Furever Home.

In addition, we would love to have an area where people can come and comfortably cuddle with a senior dog that needs their love as much as they need to give it. A place where hearts can heal—human and dog alike.

Anybody who follows us on Facebook knows we  do a lot of medical cases.  We’re hoping to have  a surgical area right in Furever Home to better treat and rehabilitate these dogs, so they can go on to be successfully adopted.

This is our dream.  Help us open that door.
