Penn Cinema Offers Spanish Subtitle Shows

Penn Cinema in Lititz has partnered with Paramount movie studio out of Los Angeles to provide the area’s only Spanish subtitle version of the new release Ben-Hur remake, starring Jack Huston. The subtitle version will play daily at 5:00 p.m. starting this Friday, August 19.

For the third week in a row, Penn Cinema in Lititz will include a Spanish subtitle show in its plans for the opening week of a new release feature film. After premiering Suicide Squad in its opening week and also playing Pete’s Dragon in its opening week, Penn Cinema will continue the Spanish subtitle offering with the new release of Ben-Hur which opens nationwide this Friday, August 19, 2016. Penn Cinema will have daily shows at 5:00 p.m. The 5 p.m. show will feature the film as presented, but with the addition of Spanish Language Subtitles.

“We understand some of our customers prefer to see the movie as it is being presented but the addition of Spanish subtitles will help them follow key dialogue and plot points. We are intending to make these shows increasingly predictable. For example, we thought perhaps 8:30 p.m. was too late and 1:00 p.m. too early, so we are trying the 5:00 p.m. time slot. We hope to be able to predictably offer this time on a regular basis if there is a market for it. We’re excited about taking advantage of the technology which allows us to do this sort of thing. It’s really cool,” Penn Ketchum says.
