Tellus360 is a fairly new addition to Lancaster’s bar scene, and an incredibly unique one, at that. Though the establishment, which formerly operated as a woodworking shop, recently underwent a drastic change in identity with the addition of a restaurant, bar, and full-blown music venue, the heart of Tellus360 is still its thoughtful and inventive wood designs.
Some of Tellus360’s most striking pieces are its electric guitars. Truly functional art is hard to come by, but these guitars are solidly built, completely playable, and visually fantastic. They take shapes that no other guitars do: some have jagged edges while others are carved and manipulated into unconventional designs. BUZZ asked local musician Aaron Binder of Housecats what he felt about Tellus360’s unique instruments, and Binder had this to say: “It’s surprising how nice they play given their unusual shapes. I was a little skeptical at first, but after actually sitting down and playing one, I realized these weren’t just showpieces. They’re real instruments.”
