With the expansion of our fitness center, The Nook has been able to provide several new and exciting pieces of equipment. The Jacob’s Ladder is one of these machines!
The Jacob’s Ladder is a self-powered climbing machine. Using both hands and feet, you will climb wooden rungs that move continuously as you climb. The faster you climb, the faster the machine goes, so you can control the speed. It is lower impact than treadmills, bikes, and ellipticals, and also helps to take the pressure off of your back and knees. It provides a superior cardio workout to both the upper and lower body.
Don’t mistake the Jacob’s Ladder as an easier workout. This machine will deliver one of the most intense cardio workouts in the gym! Some fitness members can stay on the climber for a long time, while for others, five minutes is long enough!
Fitness Center Tip: When using the Jacob’s Ladder, you need to clip on a belt that is attached to the machine. Make sure to set the length to your height. This will give you the best workout.
