Who is Brian? My life and work experiences allow me to see the world from a different perspective. I'm very passionate about innovating new and creative ways of creating proactive and storytelling content that is informative and relevant, while developing meaningful and lasting relationships and partnerships along the way. As a first generation Asian American, I try to create brave spaces where everyone can show up as their authentic self and cherish the time we have together.
I moved to Lancaster, more specifically the Southeast, from Baltimore. I work at the Community Action Partnership as the communications manager, while sitting on various boards from the LGBTQ+ Coalition, Lancaster Pride, Leadership Lancaster, Keystone Business Alliance, and Young Professionals Network, and working with locals to form the Lancaster Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders group. Lancaster has welcomed me with an open heart and arms, and I have really come to love this amazingly diverse place that I'm proud to call home. I love to volunteer and give back as much as I can. You'll often find me in the garden, at the gym, at a function taking photos, or just walking or biking around — no matter where you see me, expect a big hug and a selfie!
What can you expect if you follow Brian? Community, plants, fitness, and living my best, most honest life possible are major themes in my content. My life is an open book, and I think I can communicate who I am and how I show up with the world by leaning into my vulnerability. Through my lived experiences, I hope people can enjoy this journey we call life.
What’s the most exciting opportunity Brian has had thanks to social media? Thanks to social media, I've been able to meet so many incredible and diverse people from all over the world. When I travel, I love being able to meet up with these folx.
What is Brian’s favorite place in Lancaster? My rule of thumb is whenever I travel, visit, or move to a new place, I'm not allowed to try a place more than once unless I absolutely love it. Lancaster is filled with an array of diverse shops, restaurants, and activities to do for all ages and stages in life. It depends on the category, but I will say one of my favorite greenhouses is Tudbinks!
